Apocalypse When?

I’ve been questioning if the rapture, where good Christians are brought up to Heaven in the end instances, hasn’t currently happened – only the reason we don’t know it is that God is really, truly picky and he only raptured up like about a dozen individuals and nobody much noticed it. All these other people who anticipated to be raptured up, properly, he didn’t like them so much due to the fact they have been also arrogant. They just expected that God should go out of his way to fetch them and he didn’t like becoming told what he had to do.

Anyways, that is just a thought.

Please read the following sentence: “I program to go to the Mall of America, in Minneapolis, and get socks.”

After reading that did you think that I meant that I, following dying and going to Heaven, plan to be resurrected and return in two thousand years to a Mall that had in these two thousand years been destroyed which does not exist in two thousand years but have to be rebuilt in a place referred to as Minneapolis, that also will not exist and have to also be rebuilt? Or, on the other hand, did you consider that I (much more reasonably) meant that I was going to purchase socks sometime during my present lifetime, most probably pretty soon?

Aha. So … you chosen the second option. Did not you? Then why if you did not automatically assume that I was speaking about aeons in the future would you assume that in the book of Revelations that St. John the Divine did.

This a single occurred to me at a time when I had each insomnia and no cable and the only factor on Television was a show called the Planet Tomorrow which of course, I had to watch. (What? Turn off the Tv? I’m sorry, that is just not an option). I bear in mind this a single show in Texas named the three to 5 AM Solution that featured a married couple in their sixties.

She had also significantly make-up and a blonde bouffant, and he had the most exceptional comb-more than I’d ever noticed with ever single hair remaining on his head grown long and shellacked over the bald components, which was most of it. I rather admired him for that spectacular comb-more than. About then I’d started to get a small bit thinner on Borrow up to 򣅐k prime myself and I paid really careful focus to how he did it – just in case.

The World Tomorrow was set up like a news show with the star Jack Van Impe reporting. He had his wife, too, I believe, performing her unique commentary. Jack Van I. Was giving his interpretation of Revelations and I followed along in the Bible I had at that time, which had belonged to an ex-room-mate named Al who still owes me two hundred and thirty dollars for lengthy distance calls to Washington State, where he became a large, fancy engineer for Boeing. (Al, pay up. I need that money). This particular Bible began each and every chapter with a small summary of the book, like who wrote it, where and much more importantly when.

It mentioned Revelations had been written among 66 and 69 A.D. By this time I knew a small bit about the history of this era. At this time Israel was in revolt and Rome was experiencing a civil war as the reign of the emperor Nero was coming to a close. 69 A.D. was called the year of the four Caesars, who were successively: Nero, Galba, Otho, Vitellius and Vespasian. In 70 A.D. Vespasian’s son (and future emperor) Titus destroyedthe temple in Jerusalem.

Well, this just produced sense. Of course, St. John the Divine would be talking about a temple that existed when he was writing. Just like he was talking about a Rome that existed when he wrote about it and not some future Rome-like entity like the Typical Industry or the European union. Just like he would be speaking about an Israel that existed at the time and not some future new Israel.

Revelationists generally have a problem in explaining why the United States does not show up in any type in their excellent prophecy, like Hal Lindsay, who wrote The Late Fantastic Planet Earth and excuses this omission by saying that the United States should have declined so much by the Finish of the World that it did not even bear mentioning.

Possibly. Or maybe it was that no one in the first century Roman era had any concept that there had been a couple of added continents across the Atlantic. And that’s why it isn’t mentioned. In general I have a bone to pick with Lindsay and other authors Borrow up to 򣅐k of his ilk. He utilizes fundamental fortune tellers tricks, taking quite vague references out of context and then bending them to his personal makes use of. When I got wise to him, I went through his book and then read the verses just before and soon after the ones he cited. In context, it appears completely distinct from what he says. Here’s a single that sticks in my thoughts: he says that the quotation from Revelations that ‘a excellent noise will come from the North’ (or something like that) actually means that Russian troops will invade Israel because the word or noise in Hebrew is Ra-ash (true enough) which sounds like Russia (kind of. Okay) so naturally that indicates Russian troops.

But why would the author, writing in Greek, switch to Aramaic to indicate foreign troops from a specific location when in all other areas he particularly names the nations – in Greek -and when he talks about troops, he says so? Russia just becomes ‘noise’ and we’re supposed to accept that? OR perhaps he genuinely did imply a literal noise. You think?

One more factor. There’s a lot of speak about in these circles about the enhanced number of all-natural disasters indicating the strategy of the end occasions – like birth pangs for the end of the planet. Are there truly much more all-natural disasters or is it just that there are far more individuals on the Earth and so more individuals are going to be affected by them and it seems like far more, but it is not? Ninety % of the World’s population lives inside a hundred miles of a key coastline which if you appear at a world map is the location occupied by the line that shows you where the coastlines are. When a all-natural disaster hits a coastal location, like the Tsunami, or hurricanes or typhoons or Earth quakes, then a lot of people are going to feel it.

It all comes down to this question: How obtuse is God, anyways? If he really has something he wants to inform us, why is he only sending us cataclysmic hints and not obtaining to the point. If he wanted to, for instance, he could create on the moon what is on his mind, like perhaps ‘stop fornicating’ and then we’d all know for positive that he’s truly severe about us not Borrow up to 򣅐k fornicating
